Tropical Vida Glow Benefits

The Tropical Pineapple Vida Glow with Extra Benefits

By Rebecca Gawthorne – Dietitian & Nutritionist @nourish_naturally

Pineapples are a delicious, tropical-tasting, spikey fruit hailing from the Bromeliaceae family. They have been eaten for centuries and are still enjoyed today. We love them freshly sliced, tossed through salads, juiced, added to smoothies and cocktails and as the classical pizza topping. Pineapples not only taste incredible, but they also have exceptional health benefits. Pineapples are high in vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients including Vitamin C, fibre, b-vitamins, bromelain and potassium. Due to their high nutrient content, pineapples have the ability to improve respiratory health, help reduced coughs and colds, aid digestion and reduce inflammation.

But did you know that pineapples are a beauty food secret and are great for your skin, hair and nails too?! The high Vitamin C and bromelain content of pineapples are the two key nutrients making pineapple the perfect addition to Vida Glow’s marine collagen supplement.

Vitamin C is required in the formation of collagen and bromelain, an enzyme found in pineapple juice and in the pineapple stem, is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Together, these miracle nutrients in pineapples work with Vida Glow’s collagen to reduce skin blemishes, acne, irritations and swelling and repair the skin at a cellular level, reducing wrinkles and delaying the onset of skin ageing.  The Vitamin C content in Vida Glow’s pineapple range is so powerful it can even help reduce pigmentation by protecting the skin from free radical damage and stimulate the circulation of blood in the mucous membrane of the skin, which can help reduce clogged pores and the appearance of blackheads. It also provides nourishment to damaged tissue and cells, boosting their ability to repair themselves. Plus the bromelain present in pineapples helps to prevent other skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and dermatitis.

Vida Glow’s Pineapple flavour can also help prevent hair loss and fight hair damage due to the bromelain content which reduces inflammation of the scalp and prevents infections that can cause hair loss. The abundant Vitamin C content also strengthens hair strands and allows them to become more resistant to breakage.

If you are looking for a way to add a touch of tropical sweetness to your beauty regime whilst improving the health of your skin, hair and nails, then Pineapple Vida Glow is the perfect way!  Try the following recipe using Pineapple Vida Glow to add an extra boost to your beauty!
